J J Trescott Band (then and now)
In 1988, Jay Borgwardt (Drums), Jeff Keefer (Bass, Vocals) and John (Guitar synth, Keys, BG Vocals, Recording and Mixing) met through an ad in a local newspaper and formed the JJ Trescott Band. They had a great time playing together, then writing and recording songs in John's home studio. These raw tracks on the "1989" album were recorded live to 16 track tape. Things were going great….until lead singer Jeff met a girl from Switzerland and followed her back to Europe never to be seen or heard from again... The band disbanded and the songs were never released or heard by anyone. Until now.....
Fast forward to 2018: John received a LinkedIn message out of the blue from Jeff asking if he was “the same John he played with in 1989?” Jeff lives in Portugal now, but returned to CA for a visit and Jay, Jeff & John got together for a reunion dinner….and the band got back together! Through the miracle of technology, they can write and record together through FaceTime and Zoom between US and Portugal. “Ivory Tower” and “Fever Dreams” are the first two releases from the newly reunited JJ Trescott Band!
